A musical experience during your holiday

Would you like to experience the magic of the Eleven City tour? You can! Musical The Tour is a Dutch-language theater show that tells you the impressive story of five ice skating friends who've lost touch through the years. They agreed that if The Tour would ever happen again, they would finish it together. It is an impressive and unique experience, if you ask us! We understand if you don't feel like driving home after seeing the musical. So stay at Tusken de Marren. Our holiday park is located at 20 minutes by car from Musical The Tour. The musical runs from September 15th through November 20th, on Wednesdays through Sundays.

Arrangement "de Tocht"

We have put together a special arrangement for this beautiful musical. What fits better with the Elfstedentocht than a nice, warm bowl full of pea soup, or as we call it in Fryslân: Snert!

In collaboration with Slagerij Spijkerman from Akkrum, you will receive a delicious portion of pea soup * upon arrival that you can eat in your vacation home. If that is not a good start of the Elfstedentocht experience, then we don't know what is.  "It giet oan"!  ⛸️

The arrangement:

  • Stay in the period September through January
  • A stay of 2 nights minimum
  • 1 x delicious pea soup [Snert]

*Guest has an entrance ticket for the musical "de Tocht" and must be able to show this at the reception upon arrival.

Our holiday accommodations in Friesland are located in Akkrum, and nearly every one of them is situated at one of the Friesland waters, the Meineslaet. Akkrum is centrally located near Sneek, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen. Akkrum is a pleasant place to rent a holiday home in Friesland. In addition to water sports, there are plenty of great routes you can follow either on foot, by bicycle or by car. You're probably curious about the Friesland Eleven-City Tour after seeing the musical. We don't blame you! You can also traverse the amazing Eleven-City route (partly) by car and explore the cities of Leeuwarden, Sneek, IJlst, Sloten, Stavoren, Hindeloopen, Workum, Bolsward, Harlingen, Franeker and Dokkum this way. Enjoy a trip in the area. The possibilities are endless.

That Friesland is beautiful not just during summer but also during the fall and winter period is something we've known for a long time. Our holiday park is opened throughout the year for good reason!  Friesland may not be the first destination that comes to mind for winter, but believe us: it is absolutely worth it!
