Our favorite spots near Drachten

On the route to cozy Drachten, a stop at Nationaal Park de Alde Feanen cannot be missed. This nature reserve is about 4000 hectares and lends itself to beautiful walks and bike rides. A visit to the Deelen nature reserve is also worthwhile, here you will find yourself in grasslands and excavated peat. For more adventure you can rent a boat rental to explore the Frisian lakes and be sure to take a trip along the Pikmeer and Sneekermeer. For the children, there is also plenty to do in the area, such as a visit to the subtropical swimming paradise Swimfun or amusement park Duinen Zathe.

What water sports can I do from your vacation park near Drachten?

From our vacation park you can explore the Frisian waters with a sloop or a motorboat, which you can rent at the reception desk at our park. For a sailboat or an electric sloop, you can go to Akkrum. SUP-boards can also be rented there for those who prefer to paddle themselves.

Is it possible to cycle to Drachten from your vacation park?

You certainly can! It is a hefty, but beautiful tour of about 60 kilometers (there and back). This route takes you right through the characteristic Frisian landscape and past cozy villages, such as Nij Beets. Because it is a longer ride, this is an ideal route for cycling with an e-bike. This route is also perfect for the sporty cyclist who takes the time to enjoy the views along the way.
